Key Features

* RTRS is applicable worldwide, with national interpretations for each producer country.

• Participating Members are divided into three different constituencies and are represented fairly in the RTRS governance structure: Producers; Industry, Trade & Finance, and Civil Society organizations. All participating members have equal voting rights at the General Assembly.

* The 5 main principles of the RTRS Standards are (i) Legal compliance and good business practices, (ii) Responsible labour conditions, (iii) Responsible community relations, (iv) Environmental responsibility and (v) Good agricultural practices.

* The RTRS Standard applies to all types of production: GM, conventional, and organic production.

• RTRS is a global initiative that has more than 200 members from all over the world including soy producing and importing countries such as Brazil, Argentina, the United States, India, China, Singapore, and several European countries.

• RTRS is a multistakeholder Standard that certifies Zero Deforestation

• Over 32,000 RTRS growers in India, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, USA, China Paraguay and Uruguay with Brazil producing the majority of soy in tons

• RTRS acknowledges the Valore Gold Certification Programme of Bayer CropScience Brazil as equivalent to the RTRS International Standard of Certification
