* The USDA accedits third party certifying agents around the world, which provide organic certification to farms and businesses around the world.

* The USDA uses a residue testing program to verify that prohibited pesticides aren’t being applied to organic crops.

* The NOP is responsible for overseeing more than 80 certifying agents and 27,800 certified organic operations around the world.
